Maura's First Day of Preschool

Maura getting ready for her first day of school at Como Park Preschool. She has adapted quickly. So quickly that Dad has been dissed twice (yes twice) when he came to pick her up and she just walked right past him holding hands with her friends.

Meghan: "Maybe she just didn't see you Chuck."

Chuck: "I'm 6'5", Meghan, what do you think?"

Meghan: "Yeah, good point, she blew you off"

A trip to Como Park

A recent visit from Grandma and Grandpa came on a beautiful summer weekend. We went to Como Park and Zoo and saw it all....

And then we headed to the carousel for a ride. It was Sam's first, but I think Kerry was more freaked out than anyone.

Camping in Minocqua: August 11-August 15

The 1st Annual Putzer Family Vacation.....starring Sam & Maura; Meghan, Chuck and Mahley; Grandma Virginia; Aunt Kathy; Aunt Patti; Uncle Gerard and Aunt Diane. A full 5 days of sun and sand, wine and hotdogs, and even 1 big Birthday cake.

We got a wonderful new tent just for this occasion.....and it is fabulous! 2 glorious rooms, a hanging shelving unit, a window or more on every wall and even 2 dormer windows to complete the set.


The site Chuck's sister reserved was absolutely great. It was a very private group site, complete with our own pump, bathrooms, lots of camping space, giant fire ring, and best of all.....our own private, sandy beach.


We hiked every day, Maura leading the charge.....

It was Sam and Uncle Gerard's Birthdays....Sam turned 1 and Gerard turned 50....cake was enjoyed by all

But most of all, we swam and swam and swam

And swam....

And when the kids were snuggled into their sleeping bags....we all relaxed by the fire

Ah, good times were had by all

Its raining, its pouring....

So it actually was neither raining nor pouring, but Maura saw a single dark cloud, boldly stated that "I love storms" and insisted on her storm gear.
