1st Day of Preschool

Maura had her first day of preschool today at Dodge Nature Center. She ran into the classroom without looking back and never even said goodbye to Mom and Dad. She talked a lot about a boy in her class who "dressed up like a princess and wore a dress" during playtime. She thought that was sooo silly. I explained that boys can wear dresses too....a conversation that Chuck declined to participate in.

Night Night Sam

Ice Cream Night

Veggie Puffs

We have discovered a new way to entertain Maura and Sam simultaneously...veggie puffs. Maura has taken quite the liking to feeding Sam and he has taken quite the liking to Veggie Puffs. Of course, for every one Sam gets, Maura gets 3...or 4....or 10. Good thing 25 puffs = 10 calories.

T-Ball Nite

Tonight was Maura's 2nd official night of T-ball practice. All kids 3-5 years old. She actually hit the ball 3 times tonight AND ran each base, in the right order. We are still trying to decide if she is a lefty or a righty....

Dad's Day Dinner

So for Father's Day we headed to Psycho Suzies on a beautiful Sunday evening...75 and sunny. We had a lovely little hut complete with beer, lemonade and a pizza.

There is a car wash next door and a meticulous washer blasted much of the Thriller Soundtrack on his/her stereo while cleaning....this created quite the festive mood and Maura danced through quite most of the catchy tunes.

Fun was had by all....

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day, Dad!

Dad went golfing this morning, while Mom, Maura and Sam hung out at home.

Maura discovered caterpillars and proceeded to hold a very in-depth, one-sided conversation with a rather resilient little caterpillar as she poured rainwater on the poor little guy.

Introductions

Welcome to our blog.

Inspired by Becca's "Surly Crew" pages, I decided to forge into the blogosphere myself with the day to day ramblings of Maura & Sam.

First, the introductions.

This is Maura. She is 3.

She loves chips and cereal and raspberries and salad.

Her favorite colors are pink and orange..."you can have blue, Mommy"

She really doesn't like chocolate. (Whose genes are these anyway?)

This is Sam.

He is 10 months.

He loves chicken and stars pulverized into some sort of nasty mash and yogurt and the Baby Bjorn.
